For the sake of my sanity please do not purchase Joke Books for my classes. As all who work with children know, there's nothing quite like hearing the same joke 14 times in one day. :)
I also do not like Geronimo Stilton books in the classroom. If our students wrote this way, they would fail, so why do we encourage our students to read these books when there are so many other good examples of writing out there? I know there's a time and a place for them, but I don't think my classroom is one of them. This is my rant for the day.
